Background
The Sozo Foundation, founded in 2011, equips youth in Vrygrond Township with employability skills through its Skills and Entrepreneurship School.
Our grant to Sozo will fund staff and intern costs for the Fuel the Future Coffee House, a social enterprise providing hands-on hospitality training. Sozo will train 48 barista students, employ 4 interns, 4 baristas, and 1 coordinator whose activities will also support workplace exposure to over 100 youth. Participants will also receive digital literacy support and post-programme mentoring, significantly improving employment prospects.
